You already know the rest of it, . . . the more they stay the same.

I read an article in the Washington Post this morning that reminded me once again that the Internet is the world's largest midway.

Seems this Junior Johnson guy and some fellas from AOL Time Warner got together and tried to make it look like their respective joints out here on the cyber-midway were doing better than they were. Something about attracting investors. Normal midway stuff.

Except AOL ticked off Big Brother, who is pretty much the lot man on this midway. Apparently, poor Junior just made the wrong friends.

So, Charles "Junior" Johnson is in court. This isn't quite how we'd have handled it on the other midway but it would have definitely gotten taken care of.

Of course, Junior is a pretty much a strong arm agent or he wouldn't be playing on the AOL end of the midway. So, are his lawyers you can bet.

Reading just this article, it looks like Junior Johnson tried not only to trick Big Brother into thinking he didn't do anything wrong but also his lawyer, Mr. Slick or whoever. Shame on you, Junior. Any 50-miler knows better than that. Never lie to your mouthpiece.

It's hard to say how Junior Johnson is going to come out in court for messing up on this midway. One thing for sure, on the other midway he'd at least have taken a good beating and been D.Q.'d.
