Discretion for Carnies? Print E-mail
Thursday, 19 April 2007

O.K., so it really helps if you know the rules to the game.

Most carnies are a little quicker on the up-take than I am, but I just got around to really reading the eBay policies tonight. eBay's my new loke on this midway and I'm only almost 6 months late at getting to that "rules" part.

And, wouldn't you know it, doggone it, Wrong-Way Wonder's done it again!

I just found out that I've wasting all kinds of "legal" opportunities on eBay to be "driving traffic" to my sites. At least, that's how I read it.

The rules let you link to your photos and even a web page with a more thorough description of your item. Yeah, so? I figured that out before reading the eBay crappola and I do that.

Here's the part I didn't know.

EBay says the "pages may also contain discrete links to other pages". Boy, have I been wasting a lot of opportunity!

But, what the heck is a "discrete link"? What do carnies know about discrete?

Whew, my head is spinning like the Allis on an over-revved Tilt. I may have to read the rest of those eBay policies.

I'll be right back. Come to think of it, I didn't even find out what I went there to learn.
