Talk About a Grind Store Print E-mail
Tuesday, 08 May 2007

Wow! Whooda thunk, I, with plenty of years on this virtual midway and that real one too, would have plunked myself down in one of the toughest grind stores on this web they call the Internet.

Yup, I'm talkin' about eBay.

And, yup, it's got me wound up enough to go writing big old long sentences like that first one.

I started out in this whole eBay thing in December and got kind of workin' it by the end of January.

I had a whole bunch a stuff I wanted out of my house. I figured I'd have whatever damage I could do there done by May and maybe find me a hole on some small State Fair show.

It ain't exactly working out that way.

This here li'l eBay gig is working out to be a better joint than I first took it for.

Sure the eBay traffic slows down in the summertime. Alexa is kind of like a gate man, they say the crowd is working like this:

Did ya' see that? Hey, I'll take that kind of blowoff any day!

But, anyway, I'll tell you why eBay's even better than I thought it would be here in a day or two when I'm done putting the finishing touches on a little project of mine.

And, one of these first days, I'll even tell you why eBay's such a grind store and some things you can do about it.

It's not really that much fun to work 16 hours a day for the whole spot when the fair lasts all year long.
