O.K., so it really helps if you know the rules to the game.
Most carnies are a little quicker on the up-take than I am, but I just got around to really reading the eBay policies tonight. eBay's my new loke on this midway and I'm only almost 6 months late at getting to that "rules" part.
And, wouldn't you know it, doggone it, Wrong-Way Wonder's done it again!
I just found out that I've wasting all kinds of "legal" opportunities on eBay to be "driving traffic" to my sites. At least, that's how I read it.
The rules let you link to your photos and even a web page with a more thorough description of your item. Yeah, so? I figured that out before reading the eBay crappola and I do that.
Here's the part I didn't know.

Just got the news tonight that Gary Halbert passed away Easter Sunday. Too soon, too gone.
Funny how just from reading a guy's newsletter for 5 years and flipping a few emails back and forth you can come to think of him as one of your friends. Yep, even as the Alpha Shitweasel! I'm gonna miss those newsletters.
Gary had a way with words. He'd have made one hell of a good agent.
Instead, he decided to be one of the world's greatest, or maybe the greatest, copywriters of all time. It amazes me to discover how many direct mail marketing campaigns came straight from his pen. He'll be missed.
I wonder if postage from heaven is too prohibitive for direct mail? |

Out this evening on this fine midway, strolling a bit, doing some research for an item I'm going to list in my eBay store.
It's a pretty little glass that I'm really not sure the intended use of. It looks rather like a very small soda glass. Well, here's a picture and you can see what I mean.
The top of the glass is less than 2¼" in diameter and it's a little over 5" tall. Anyone know what it's called?
One thing for sure, they'd look really pretty in a glass pitch. And where would eBay be without glass pitches? Did you know that "carnival glass" is one of the hottest items on there?
But, speaking of games, I ran across an odd video in my wanderings tonight about the "Tin Can Game". Now, I'm really an old-timer but I don't remember ever seeing this one .
Reminds me of the summer of '92 when we had the "60 Minutes" scam show to deal with. Wasn't a good year to be in a "Roll-a-Beef".
